Circle of Care Health Centre
Circle of Care Health Centre is a new health facility and was finished April 15, 2005, at which time Health staff and Daycare/Head Start moved in. We are a stand-alone building with fourteen staff and four part-time staff from FHQ Tribal Council. We provide health services and programs to Pasqua First Nation community members. There are trained, professionals within our health team. We have a Community Health Representative whose responsibilities are community health promotion, awareness and coordination of public health education activities on behalf of the Health Center. There is a parent mentor in the health Center that provides services and assists with transportation to prenatal and infant medical appointments, the parent mentor also assists young mothers with taking babies to baby needle clinic, prenatal and parenting classes and CPNP cooking classes. Circle of Care also offers services by an in home worker that works with elders and people with disabilities. The NNADAP Coordinator offers individual counselling and referral services to drug/alcohol treatment programs.
